Guidelines for our Volunteers:

  • Interview: all applicants will be interviewed by the Volunteer Coordinator to assess interest areas and facilitate job placement

  • Orientation: a two-day hospital volunteer orientation consisting of hospital policy, safety, infection control and volunteer issues is required before beginning to volunteer.

  • Health screening: all volunteers will be given an initial health screening to be completed before beginning service.

  • Scheduling: the Volunteer Coordinator will schedule all volunteer hours. Each volunteer is responsible for finding a replacement for his/her absences.

  • Uniforms: all volunteers are required to purchase a smock/jacket from the hospital. A name tag will be provided by the hospital. Volunteers must always wear a name tag and smock when on duty.

  • Yearly education: all volunteers are required to attend an annual hospital education day as well as have an annual TB test.
