Radiation Therapy

The WVUH-East Regional Cancer Program offers the most advanced, precise forms of radiation treatment available. These state-of-the-art treatment modalities include Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT). Prostate brachytherapy and high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy are also available.

With patient comfort and convenience in mind, radiation therapy services are offered in the McCormack Center, Suite 1100, on City Hospital's campus.

Dr. Edward Kiggundu MDDr. Edward Kiggundu, M.D., Board Certified Radiation Oncologist, serves as Medical Director of Katin Radiation Therapy.

A Clinical Assistant Professor at West Virginia University School of Medicine, Dr. Kiggundu is a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the American College of Radiology and is actively involved in clinical research.

He has co-authored numerous publications pertaining to breast, gynecologic and hematologic cancers.
