MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – Lisa Van Camp, RN, was recently named City Hospital’s Quality Service Award winner for May 2010.
Each month, the hospital’s Service Award Committee selects an employee to receive the Quality Service Award. Van Camp, a nurse in the PACU/One Day Surgery unit, was nominated for her innovative ideas and her ability to put those ideas into action.
“She worked on ideas to promote productivity and cost-effectiveness within her department. She is regarded by her co-workers as a role model,” stated Barbara Sherman, interim vice president of patient care services at City Hospital.
Criteria for selection as a Quality Service Award recipient includes: demonstrating a consistently high level of productivity and quality of work along with a high degree of initiative in performing work responsibilities, displaying exceptional dependability, exhibiting effective relationships with others, displaying a commitment to service and serving the City Hospital community, and meeting the criteria for the WVUH-East mission, vision and values.
Nomination forms for the Quality Service Award are available at locations throughout the City Hospital campus. Anyone who witnesses an employee displaying outstanding service is encouraged to complete and submit a nomination form.
