Jefferson Foundation Golf Tournament
Winners Announced
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. – There were many winners in the 9th annual Jefferson Health Care Foundation Golf Tournament, recently held at Locust Hill Golf Course.
The winning team of Brian Romine, Brian Smith, Chris Colbert and Joe Sturm playing for United Bank shot a 60 to claim first place. Golfers representing numerous business sponsors participated in the annual golf fundraiser, which raised $10,500 in net proceeds to benefit the Foundation and Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
Speaking at the awards dinner following the tournament, WVU Hospitals-East officials attributed the continued success of the tournament to the overwhelming support displayed by the local business community.
Thomassen Auto Group in Charles Town was recognized for sponsoring the hole-in-one prize while Jefferson Distributing served as the beverage sponsor. Sodexho Health Care Services was acknowledged for preparing and providing the lunch following play.
“In addition to our sponsors and golfers, I must also thank our organizing committee, a group of dedicated and committed volunteers whose tireless efforts have made this tournament a success again this year,” said Teresa McCabe, vice president of marketing & development for WVUH-East.
Members of the 2010 committee included Don Breon, Chris Colbert, Chuck Ellison, Sheila Evers, Chris Fauble, Brookeann Knotts, David Marshall, Teresa McCabe, Courtney Munsterman, Jeff Smoot and Gary Spoales.
