Alzheimer’s Disease Topic of Community Seminar
 
          MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - West Virginia University Hospitals-East and the WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center Eastern Division will sponsor a community mini-medical school program on Alzheimer’s Disease.
The program titled Why Am I So Forgetful? will be held on Tuesday, March 16 in the WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center on the City Hospital campus.   The public is invited to attend this mini-medical school program to learn more about the early warning signs and treatment available for Alzheimer’s Disease. Early dementia signs and symptoms will also be addressed.
The featured speakers include K.C. Nau, MD, Associate Dean and Chair of the Department of Family Medicine for the WVU Health Sciences Center Eastern Division, and Vishal Malpani, MD, Assistant Professor of Family Medicine for the WVU Health Sciences Center Eastern Division. Both physicians are board certified in family medicine and geriatrics, and are on the medical staff at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
Sign-in for the community mini-medical school program begins at 6:30 pm, with the program to follow from 7 – 8 pm. Light refreshments will be offered at the conclusion of the seminar. 
This community mini-medical school program is being offered free to the public as a community service of WVUH-East and the WVU Health Sciences Center Eastern Division. Reservations are strongly recommended. For more information or to register for this program, phone 304-264-1287, ext. 1760.
