As a community teaching hospital,
Jefferson Memorial Hospital and medical staff have long been involved in the teaching of physicians, nurses and other health care professionals. The hospital has partnered with the West Virginia University's Eastern Division to provide medical students with educational and residency opportunities in the Eastern Panhandle. The hospital also works with the Shepherd College Nursing program to provide educational experiences for local nursing students.
