No matter what you choose for your labor and delivery experience, Jefferson Memorial Hospital is able to accommodate your needs.

Anesthesia: Our anesthesia staff at Jefferson Memorial offers the expectant mother local anesthesia and regional anesthesia (an epidural) to help her get through the special process of labor and delivery. The anesthesia service provides care 24 hours a day, everyday.

Natural labor and delivery: Our
nursing staff is dedicated to
supporting any woman choosing
to have a natural labor and
delivery. All nurses are trained
in breathing and relaxation
techniques to help you through
this natural process.

Pain Management: Medications are available, as prescribed by your physician or midwife, for use during the labor process. For the woman who doesn’t want anesthesia, but is not ready for natural labor and delivery, these medications are a good alternative.

Midwifery: Jefferson Memorial Hospital also offers a midwife as an alternative to having a traditional Obstetrician.
