Description: (for
adolescents 11-13 years of age) Safe Sitters is a nationally
recognized educational program that strives to improve the
welfare of young children by increasing the availability of
safe and nurturing adolescent caregivers. Teaching methodology
includes hands on mannequin practice in rescue skills, small
group interactive learning, role- playing, games, and interaction
with a toddler or preschool quest. Participants must pass
a written exam proving mastery of key concepts and be able
to demonstrate acceptable skills in care of the choking infant/child
and rescue breathing and are also required to demonstrate
the ability to apply injury and behavioral management techniques
and self-introduction skills. |
